ARTIST, RETREAT LEADER, THOUGHT LEADER, LIZZY SPOHR RUSSINKO
The Notable Woman is proud to present the Super U Summit, 30 empowering women speakers over 10 days.
In this Super U Summit Talk, retreat leader Lizzy Spohr Russinko brings us “One Day Retreat Revolution.”
After 12 years in higher education (Student Affairs administration and Women’s & Gender Studies faculty), Lizzy left her career to parent her children full-time. As a Higher Ed/Student Affairs professional, she wore many hats: professor, supervisor, facilitator, crisis manager, counselor, program developer, and organizer of retreats, trainings & conferences. What Lizzy didn’t know when she left that career was that she’d start and grow three successful businesses while parenting two kids two-and-under. From one-day women’s wellness retreats and a mindful parenting conference that inspire bold living and courageous authenticity, to hand-lettered art prints that connect the words we have in our heads to the space we have in our hearts, Lizzy’s passions found ways to emerge within the fog of new motherhood.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE TALK TOPIC
Lizzy says it better than I do so here she goes:
I am obsessed with helping women entrepreneurs feel empowered to plan their own or collaborative one-day retreats for busy women in their communities who are craving connection, support, and transformation. Let’s break the mold for what retreats are “supposed to be like” and offer a more attainable and community-conscious experience that is still intimate, meaningful, and even profitable. You don’t need to take a 24-hour flight and spend 7 days (and a few thousand dollars) at a retreat in Bali to change lives. Retreats, and the benefits they offer are for everybody. They will cultivate long-lasting connection to your work and satisfy the cravings of your community, and you can plan them with less overwhelm, more confidence, and real, simple strategies.
