We, women, are known as caretakers for our families (and friends) but we often forget to take care of ourselves. However, we can’t fully care for others when we don’t take care of ourselves. We can’t successfully meet everyone’s needs and achieve our personal and professional goals when we’re running on empty. One Day Retreat Revolution

One Day Retreat Revolution

ARTIST, RETREAT LEADER, THOUGHT LEADER, LIZZY SPOHR RUSSINKO

The Notable Woman is proud to present the Super U Summit, 30 empowering women speakers over 10 days.

In this Super U Summit Talk, retreat leader Lizzy Spohr Russinko brings us “One Day Retreat Revolution.”

WHO’S LIZZY?

After 12 years in higher education (Student Affairs administration and Women’s & Gender Studies faculty), Lizzy left her career to parent her children full-time.  As a Higher Ed/Student Affairs professional, she wore many hats: professor, supervisor, facilitator, crisis manager, counselor, program developer, and organizer of retreats, trainings & conferences. What Lizzy didn’t know when she left that career was that she’d start and grow three successful businesses while parenting two kids two-and-under. From one-day women’s wellness retreats and a mindful parenting conference that inspire bold living and courageous authenticity, to hand-lettered art prints that connect the words we have in our heads to the space we have in our hearts, Lizzy’s passions found ways to emerge within the fog of new motherhood.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE TALK TOPIC

Lizzy says it better than I do so here she goes:

I am obsessed with helping women entrepreneurs feel empowered to plan their own or collaborative one-day retreats for busy women in their communities who are craving connection, support, and transformation. Let’s break the mold for what retreats are “supposed to be like” and offer a more attainable and community-conscious experience that is still intimate, meaningful, and even profitable. You don’t need to take a 24-hour flight and spend 7 days (and a few thousand dollars) at a retreat in Bali to change lives. Retreats, and the benefits they offer are for everybody. They will cultivate long-lasting connection to your work and satisfy the cravings of your community, and you can plan them with less overwhelm, more confidence, and real, simple strategies.

FREE GIFT FOR YOU

Lizzy’s gift for you is a free planning guide for getting your own retreat on! Download it here.

How Not to Give a Shit!

How Not to Give a Shit!

MEDIUM, KATRINA-JANE BART

The Notable Woman is proud to present the Super U Summit, 30 empowering women speakers over 10 days.

In this Super U Summit Talk, medium Katrina-Jane Bart gives a talk entitled “How Not to Give a Shit!”

WHO’S KATRINA-JANE?

Katrina-Jane is a down to earth, ‘out of the box’ clairvoyant medium, multiple times award-winning author, inspirational speaker, teacher and thought leader – who is dedicated to guiding people through this experience called life!  Her specialties include death and dying, clairvoyant readings, support for sensitive children and empowering women to find their purpose and live their dreams.

Katrina-Jane is way more than your average clairvoyant!  She doesn’t wear what you think she would.  She doesn’t use gimmicks or crystal balls. She is down to earth, never takes herself too seriously and has a wicked sense of humor.  She is 100% honest, upfront and deeply compassionate.  She also loves to throw around the odd F-Bomb.

Katrina-Jane has a passion for helping people to deal with death, dying and grief – both nationally and internationally. Through her work, she deals with the passing of loved ones on a daily basis. Her aim is to help people get over the fear and awkwardness of speaking about death, whether this is through her books, speaking arrangements, writings or social media.

She has authored 4 books, having won an international book award for her inspirational biography ‘Christian to Clairvoyant’ and 3 international book awards for Where Did They Go.  The latter explains to children in a simple but clear way what happens when we die. It takes away the mystique and fear that currently surrounds death and encourages people to talk.  Where Did They Go has attracted significant attention recently, including an up and coming book signing tour throughout the USA.

Knowing why people say things that are hurtful or unsupportive is the key to realising that you shouldn’t really give a shit about what they’ve said! Because it has nothing to do with you and a LOT to do with them!

Katrina-Jane has a free reading for you that you can get here.

PHOTOGRAPHER AND ALL AROUND AMAZING HUMAN, SHANNON MACFARLANE

The Notable Woman is proud to present the Super U Summit, 30 empowering women speakers over 10 days.

In this Super U Summit Talk, one of my favorite humans Shannon MacFarlane share “How Moving Your Hips and Chest Can Move Your Life!”

WHO’S SHANNON?

Shannon is also a beautiful and talented grief photographer, helping capture moments for families that break hearts.

She’s also a parent educator with a neuroscience background and is forever explaining to me what I do with this toddler ‘o mine.

And on top of all of those amazing credentials, she’s a former professional dancer, and combining that with her neuroscience background is what she’s going to present for us as a part of this event. She is – wait for it – a delicious mover (her words, folks).

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE TALK TOPIC

The mind, brain, and body all work together and that means that the emotions we feel and the stress we experience show up in how we physically move. We can work through this by understanding how and why this happens and how to counteract it, and that means that you can revitalize the two centers of physical movement in your body – hips and chest. Hip movement connects to and awakens drive, assertion, and confidence, while chest movement connects to and awakens compassion, understanding, and kindness.

FREE GIFT FOR YOU

Shannon’s gift for you is this 22-minute video on a few simple patterns to open your hips and chest. See it here.

Any leadership and business expert will tell you that it is essential to know yourself but so many getting started in their entrepreneurial journey have an idea and vision based on their attraction to success built on someone else’s strengths! I’m here to tell you how you can know your strengths (Ahem, SUPER POWER) and become a notable businesswoman as a result of it.
